Dear RCHS Advisory Board:
My general area of interest is youth sports. There are many different youth sports
programs to sign up for through places such as the YMCA, elementary school,
sometimes even churches. I chose this area because I was heavily involved in sports
when I was a child and it had a big impact on my life.
I plan to research the impact of organized sports on children. How does it shape
them as a person? What are the positive impacts? What are the negative impacts?
Do organized sports create too much competitiveness?
I plan to co-coach a soccer team at the YMCA. It is a challenge because I have never
coached any type of team. My expert in this field will be Jason OBriant. I am
working with him because he has coached at the YMCA a lot and is quite
experienced in this field.
I understand that plagiarism is illegal and unethical. Plagiarism is using the work of
others as my own and that is unfair and wrong. It is important to use my own ideas.
It is important to be ethical because it makes me feel better than cheating.
