Open Section Entrants must be under 21 years.


The CMTA reserves the right to re-allocate or eliminate sections depending on entries received.
Entries will not be accepted after the due date Fri 24th June 2016.
All entries must:
a. Be accompanied by the entry fee
b. Include a parental/ guardian/ teacher signature
c. Include a copy of the music for the Adjudicator.
5. ADJUDICATORS COPY. A copy of the work to be performed must be submitted with the entry
form and include:
a. Students Name, Section No., and Adjudicators Copy written on the top of the music.
b. All Bars must also be numbered.
Failure to do this will result in the entry being cancelled and no refund given.
6. Time limits for upper sections will be strictly adhered to. A bell will be heard at the end of the time
limit and points deducted at the discretion of the adjudicator.
Instrumental/Piano - Grade 6-8: 6 minutes
Vocal 12-16yrs: 3 minutes
Open Sections: 6 minutes (one Piece)
Vocal 16-18yrs: 6 minutes
7. Choir sections require 2 contrasting pieces (chosen by the ensemble) with a time limit of 8mins.
This is complete onstage time & includes set up etc.
8. Certificates and critiques will be available in the foyer following each session. It is the entrants
responsibility to collect these.
9. Adult Student Sections are for adults learning music who wish to perform and receive a critique; no
prizes are given for these sections. Participation Certificates will be available.
10. Re: Accompanists Teachers may accompany their own students or arrange an accompanist. If you
are unable to organise an accompanist, a clear copy of the accompaniment must be received at least 4
weeks prior to allocate one. Contact Kelly Kerr to arrange this.
11. COPYRIGHT REGULATIONS. Originals must be produced upon request.
12. All photocopies will be destroyed at the completion of the Eisteddfod, not returned.

The Colac Music Teachers Association Inc. organise and run the Eisteddfod each year for the benefit of
local musicians. All members are volunteers who willingly give up their time to provide students with the
opportunity to perform.
