ALARM SIGNALS: 1. GENERAL ALARM SIGNAL: Seven (7) short blasts (or more) and 0ne (1) long blast on ship's whistle and continous sounding of ship's general alarm (manning of abandoning ship's stations. General alarm sounding does not necessarily main to abandon ship. Proceed immediately to lifeboat stations with life jackets donned. 2. ABANDONSHIP SIGNAL: Only after the master order "ABANDON SHIP" 3. FIRE SIGNAL: Groups of rapid ringings for a period of ten seconds on ship's bell and the same on ship's electric general alarm. Proceed immediately to fire stations with life jackets donned. 4. FLOODING SIGNAL: Three (3) long ringings on general alarm bells. Proceed immediately to fire stations with life jackets donned. 5. DISMISSAL OF DRILL SIGNAL: Three (3) short blasts on ship's whistle or Three (3) short ringings on the general alarms bells. 6. LIFEBOATS HANDLING SIGNAL: a) Commencing lowering: One(1) short blast on whistle. b) Stop lowering: Two(2) short blasts on whistle.
