Ch 1-3

Ch.1
The Sunset Towers are apartment buildings facing the east. Barney Northrup was
trying to rent out the apartment rooms and extra offices. The Wexler family was the
first appointment to come and view the six open options. He had sold Mrs. Wexler
(Grace) on the stunning apartment. Barney lied to the Wexlers and told them the
same thing that he told all of the viewers. Theres only one apartment open, but you
ll love it! it was made for you! But Mr. Wexler was much less impressed with the
apartment. He complained about the small rooms that he claimed looked like a
closet. His wife, Grace, obviously was arguing about how perfect it is for them.
Barney again lied, Let me remind you, the rent is cheaper than what you old house
costs in upkeep. Jake Wexler wondered how he could possibly know that. Grace
Wexler imagined all the things she would redo, purchased beige velvet furniture. Oh
yes, all of the things
Barney Northrup said for the sixth and last time, Theres only one apartment left, but
youll love it! It was meant for you! He opened the door to the one bedroom
apartment and said is that breathtaking or is that breathtaking? But Sydelle Pulaski
was not as impressed as Grace Wexler. She said that she would think it over.
Little did Barney Northrup know, he had rented one of the apartments to the wrong
person...

Ch.2
The mistake and the other residence move into the Sunset towers. The
Hoos had a grand opening and only three came. Thats one example to show
that it's a very exclusive town. Then, at end of October there problems started.
Sandy Mcsouthers and Otis Amber Tell Turtle, Theo, and Doug about Sam
Westing and where he died when they see smoke in Sam Westings house. They
said that he was long dead. And told them that there were once two kids that
entered because of the dare. One ran out screaming and didnt stop until he hit
the bottom of a cliff. As for the other one, He hasn't said anything but two words
sense and those two words are purple waves and is now in a state asylum.

Ch. 3

This chapter is about five groups of people each talking about seeing smoke
coming from the Westing house chimney and one person who didnt even notice
it. Otis Amber had told all of them that Mr. Westing was dead and his body was
lying on the oriental rug.
Mrs. Wexler was talking to her daughters, Angela, and Turtle, while Flora
Baumbach was sewing Angelas wedding dress. Dr. Jake Wexler was talking with
Mrs. Crow while he was cutting a corn off her foot. Mr. Hoo was in his restaurant
talking to his son Doug . Sandy McSouthers was talking to judge J.J. Ford as he
was helping her get out of her maroon Mercedes by the Sunset Towers. Chris
Theodorakis was in his wheel chair talking to his brother Theo. Sydelle Pulaski
was in her room in the Sunset Towers, but she did not notice the smoke rising
from the Westing house.
