    Therearemanydifferencesandfewsimilaritiesbetweenthefederalistsandthe
    antifederalists.Thefederalistshadopposingviewsonmanypoliticalandgovernmental
    issues.Onemainpointwasthecentralgovernment.Howeversodidthe
    antifederalists,wantingtheoppositeofthefederalists.Therearemanydifferences
    betweenthetwo.
    Thefederalistswereforastrongnationalgovernment.RuledbyAlexander
    Hamilton,thefederalistswerefortheconstitutionoverthearticlesofconfederation.
    Theybelievedthatthebillofrightswasnotneededintheconstitutionsayingthe
    governmentwassupposetoprotectnaturalrights.Thefederalistsalsobelievedin
    havingchecksandbalancessothereisnoonegroupwithtoomuchpower.The
    federalistswantedtoberuledbytherichandwe'lleducatedgivingthemajoritytoallof
    thepowertoasmallgroupofpeople.
    Theantifederalistswerealmosttheexactoppositeofthefederalists,asshown
    bytheirname.RuledbyThomasJefferson,theantifederalistswereagainstastrong
    nationalgovernmentsayingitwouldbecomeatyrant,muchlikethekingofEngland.
    Theantifederalistsalsofavoredabillofrights,statingthatifwedidn'thaveone,the

    governmentwouldtakeawayourrights.Theywereforastrongexecutivebranch,and
    wantedtoberuledbythepeople.
    Thoseareafewofthemanydifferencesbetweenthefederalistsand
    antifederalists.Theydisagreedonmanyofthepointsshownabovemainlyonthe
    constitutionandthestrengthofthefederalgovernment.Thereareverylittletono
    similaritiesbetweenthetwotypesofgovernment.Howeverthecompromisedwhen
    writingtheconstitutionpullingpointsfromboththefederalistsandantifederalists.
