The video clip shows a lesson where a student shared their work on the SmartBoard and the teacher gave students time to explain their thought process on a continuous piecewise function problem without rushing them. Students were encouraged to discuss with each other as the teacher questioned them and they thought about their answers, with student answers being respected and any mistakes in their thinking or explanations being corrected sensitively.

The following artifact is a five minute video clip of a lesson conducted on March 29, 2016. A student had shared his work on the SmartBoard with the rest of the class. Discussing the problem where students looked at a continuous piecewise function, I gave students time to explain their thought process. Students were never rushed in their process. Discussion between student were welcomed, as students took in my questioning and thought about their answers. Student answers are respected, and any slight mistakes in their thinking or explanation are corrected sensitively.
