The Hubble Space Telescope - Would it

Exist Without Sir Isaac Newton?

Until a few hundred years ago, all humans knew
about the universe was what was visible to the
naked eye. They thought that earth was the center of
the universe, when really, earth is just a small part of
the amazing universe.
Most people believe that Galileo is the reason
we have the modern telescope. Although this is
partially true, Isaac Newton may be the real reason
why there are telescopes such as hubble today.
Isaac Newton invented the first reflecting telescope,
and without it, hubble may have never came into existence. The
website hubblesite explains, Hubble works on the same principle as
the first reflecting telescope built in the 1600s by Isaac Newton. This
shows how Newton influenced the hubble telescope and many other
telescopes. A reflecting telescope uses one or multiple mirrors that
reflect light to form an image, and it was first built by Newton in 1668.
This is similar to how hubble works, and therefore, hubble may not
exist if not for Isaac Newton.

Sir Isaac Newton once said, If

I have seen further than others, it is
by standing upon the shoulders of
giants. Now, it seems like todays
geniuses have been standing on his
shoulders.
