To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing this letter at the letter at the request of Drew
Urbaniak. I have known Drew for four years, as both a student in
classes I have taught and as an athlete on track teams I have coached.
Drew is a hard-working, conscientious individual who draws great
strength from overcoming challenges. He is a quality person, who
positively affects the people around him and whose moral fiber is
greatly enhanced by a supportive and nurturing family environment.
In class, Drew has been consistent in his efforts and mindful of his
progress. He is thoughtful in considering the ideas and efforts and
others, but self-aware enough to avoid being easily swayed by what
seems popular.
As a member of our Leadership Coups, a group that fills the
traditional role of team captains, Drew has gone beyond the basic
requirements asked of him and often seeks to enhance his training by
seeking out more work, in order to expand both his knowledge and his
ability.
On the track, I have watched over the years as Drew has grown,
and have been impressed with his determination, commitment, and
enthusiasm for the sport itself and for the goals of the team. Thank
you for considering my words. I have no doubt that as you get to know
Drew Urbaniak he will confirm them.
