VOCABULARY

Income
Money someone has earned from someone
else.

Gross Income
A persons total income, not including deductions.

Net Income
A persons total income, including deductions.

Expenses
Money that one has spent on goods and services.

Savings
Setting aside part of your income for later use.

Debt
Money that is owed.

Tax
Payments to the government that are required
to make public goods.

Spending
Paying money for good and services.

Investment
Money that one saves for a profit.

Word Vocabulary
Tab- Buttons that separate actions into certain
categories.
Grouping- Sections inside of the tabs that further
separate buttons.
Text Box- A button that brings focus to certain text by
creating a box.
Orientation- The way a page is set up for viewing
(portrait and landscape).
Text Effects- A button that changes the look of your
words and helps you personalize your
document.

Excel Vocabulary
Autosum- An option that inserts a formula that adds
the
numbers in the column above it.
Cell- Boxes that the columns and rows are made out
of.
Column- Vertical lines that separate cells and run
through rows.
Row- Horizontal lines that separate cells and run
through
columns.
Formula- An easy way to make calculations and get
totals of numbers in the cells.
