Applying support packages from service market place

--------------------------------------------------Login to the website "service market place"

download the support packages to
C:\usr\sap\trans\cofiles (UNIX)
C:\usr\sap\trans\cofiles (NT)
login to DDIC at OS level as user
password as 19920706
copy file 'sapcar.exe' from
C:\usr\sap\SID\sys\exe\run and paste to
C:\usr\sap\trans
change the directory to
c:\usr\sap\trans
use the command on dos prompt as
SAPcar -xvf <support package file> *.sar or *.car (XVF - Extended verify Force)
There are 2 types of support packages
.ATT (Attributes)
.PAT (Patches)
these files are normally available in 'IN' folder
C:\usr\sap\trans\eps\IN
login to system using '000' client with user 'DDIC' password as '19920706'
apply the support packages using the tcode/tool as 'SPAM'(Support package manage
r)
click on menu support package-->load package-->from the frontend
browse the file & click open
click on display/define button
select the component which is required
goto menu 'support package'
click on import queue
again goto menu & click on confirm.
