Introduction
This thesis will seek to examine the relationship between resilience, social
support and subjective well-being. It will begin with a review of the changes
in psychological thought that lead to the development of the paradigm,
positive psychology, and an interest in positive constructs such as resilience,
social support and subjective well-being. For investigating the relationship
between well-being, social support and resilience are explored to establish
an appropriate foundation and methodology which was used to collect data
in a Pakistani youth sample.
Objectives
To assess the relationship of resilience and satisfaction with life among Pakistani youth.
To examine the relationship of resilience and subjective happiness.
To explore the social support and satisfaction with life among youth.
To gauge how social support effect youth happiness.
To measure the demographic variables that how they affect other variables.
Research questions
Does the resilience effect on subjective well-being?
Does the social support effect on subjective well-being?
Does the resilience and social support both effects on subjective well-being?
