Comparison Analysis for Checkouts and The Girl Who Can

In Checkouts by Cynthia Rylant and The Girl Who Can by Ama Ata Aidoo,
there are similarities and differences between the two texts. The setting in these
two texts are different. For instance, in Checkouts it says, They moved her to
Cincinnati, where for a month she spent the majority of every day in a room full of
beveled glass. In The Girl Who Can it says, They say I was born in Hasodzi; and
it is a very big village in the central region of our country, Ghana. These two quotes
demonstrate that the setting is in two different locations. Because of this, their
cultures are also different because in Africa, the viewpoint of skinny legs are
different than the viewpoint of skinny legs in the United States.

You need to do 3 more CQCs (a pink part, green part, and blue
part. Or context, quote, comment). Pick the 2 other ideas from your
Venn diagram. Remember that you are comparing 2 texts, so you
will need evidence from both texts. Your last sentence is your
conclusion. Then, switch with a partner to highlight the parts.
Introduction and conclusion are yellow.
