Someone- anyone- no one- everyone: In English there are no singular personal pronouns for
male and female words so traditionally masculine pronouns are used unless a definite female
subject is named, such as a girls school. In practice, however, the plural pronouns they and
them are used with the singular verb. Everyone knows what they have to do, dont they?
