1.
Using the given ratio (20:30:40), Im able to
substitute different angles in order for them to equal 180 altogether.

2.
I substituted the given information into the pythagorean
theorem. Since we know one angle is 90 degrees and the other is 45, we can solve that
the last angle is 45, since all of the angles put together should equal 180 since it is a
triangle.

3.
I found the value of n by pronouncing the lines
congruent. The problem tells us that two angles equal 70 degrees which equals 140. A
straight line is 180 degrees, and when you have two angles of 70 it equals 140. 180140=40 giving us the missing angle!

4.
Since we were told the area, and the angles, I was able
to find out that the triangle is a 30, 60, 90 triangle! The special thing with those triangles
is that the hypotenuse is twice the amount of the short leg. The long leg is square root of
three from the short leg. Then I just substituted the information into the problem.

<---- another example of simplifying

5. I substituted the information given to us from the triangle into
a2 +b2=c 2 , and simplified from there, getting x isolated. The problem says the
triangle is 10, 2x, and x. From there I input
equals 20.

x 2 +2 x 2 102 which ultimately

6.
Using the Pythagorean theorem, I can find what CD
equals because of the information given. The square root of 36 plus 36 equals 6 root 2,
which is CD. With this, I know CD equals 6 square root 2 and AD equals 12 root 2 since
it is twice as long as CD. I used the Pythagorean Theorem finding AB.

7.
With this problem, I had to find out the
difference between A to B, B to C, and C to A. In order to find the distance you use the
distance formula : . Then I drew a picture with the triangle and the given points
and I found the length of AB, BC, and CA and added them all together.

8.
This is another right triangle and an isosceles, and since
you know the hypotenuse is 2. With this triangle, two lengths have to be the same and I
input the information into the formula getting 1 as the area.

9.
I know that all of the angles in a parallelogram
equal 360. I also know that the opposite angle of parallel lines are equal. I substituted
the numbers in and isolated x and then from there substituted y into the equation.

10.
We found the square roots of the
squares given, so we added the numbers together getting 64.
