Start by getting the cat out of the bag and onto the tray.
Nick makes a cut along the midsagittal line of the cat all the down the abdominal
cavity.
A transverse cut is made superficial to the diaphragm.
Another transverse cut is made towards the bottom of the abdominal cavity.
The layer of fat superficial to the internal organs is removed exposing the
underlying organs.
Picture is taken of the internal organs.
We found the esophagus and the oropharynx and took a picture of them.
Located the rectum and took a picture
With the scissors, we cut the rectum as close to the anus as we could get.
Located and took a picture of the diaphragm.
With the scissors we removed the diaphragm and the alimentary canal from the
inside of the cat.
Located the liver, gallbladder, pancreas and the spleen.
The liver, gallbladder, pancreas and the spleen were removed from the alimentary
canal.
Picture is taken of the labeled
The alimentary canal is stretched out and measured. (137.5 cm)
Stomach is opened.
We found a round worm in the stomach of the cat.
Multiple round worms were found.
We located the kidneys, urethra, urinary bladder and the urethra.
