    The word "Nigger" is used very frequently in the book The Adventures of Huckleberry Fin by Mark Twain. Some people say the book is not racist it does repeatedly use the NWord but that does not make it racist. The use of the word "nigger" in the novel is only used because it is appropriate for the time period it takes place in.

    answeritisallopinion.Weregoingtoseehowthetextisracist,howitisnotracist,andthe
    satiricalelementsTwainimplements.
    Althoughintheeyesofmostpeoplethebookisnotracist,therearesomepeoplethat
    disagree.SomepeoplesaythebooksuseoftheNwordchallengesauthority,pokesfunat
    religion,andleadschildrenastray.theyalsoarguethereisagoodreasonwhyitisbannedfrom
    beingteachedinmanyschools.SomepeopletakeitasfartosayMarkTwainisaracistwriter.
    TheirreactionisIclosedthecoverstunned(Smiley).Noteveryonereactstothenovellikethis
    butsomepeoplehavegoodreasonstoreactlikethisbecauseofpreviousexperiencesthey
    mayhavebeenthrough.Theycouldhavebeensubjecttoracismbeforewhichwould
    significantlychangedtheirviewonthenovelsuseoftheNWord.

    Despitethefactsgiven,thisnovelisnotracistitdoesrepeatedlyusetheNWordbutthatdoes
    notmakeitracist.FirstoffTwaindoesnotchallengeauthorityitisourfreedomtowritewhatwe
    wish.secondlyitdoesnotpokefunatreligioninsomecasesyoumayperceiveTwainshowing
    atheistidealsbutthatsnotthepointofititisjustshowingrealistqualitiesofHuck.Asforthe
    noelleadingchildrenastraythatisnottrue,childrendonotreadthisuntiltheyareinhighschool
    andtheyshouldalreadybematureenoughandeducatedtoknowtheuseoftheNWordinthe
    novelisonlyusedbecauseitisappropriateforthetimeperiodittakesplacein.Twainsuseof
    thewordNiggershouldnotbetakenoffensivelyheusesitasasynonymforslave.Alsowhen
    Twainusesstereotypesheusesthemtoshowhowjimissuperiortothestereotypes.
    Inconclusionbothsideshavegoodclaimsitcouldberacisttosomepeoplebutmost
    don'ttakeoffence.thebiggestreasonwhypeoplewouldtakeoffenceisbecauseofpossible
    previouseventsthatwouldcloudtheirjudgment.Otherwisethisnovelisnotoffensive,most
    peopleareeducatedenoughtounderstandthesatiricalmeaningandreadbetweenthelineto
    findoutwhatTwainwasactuallytryingconveythroughthisnovel.
