Handphone (HP) is electronic communication devices which has the same basic function like
conventional telephone, but can be carried anywhere and without need to be connected to wire
telephone network or wireless. Nowadays, Indonesia has two wireless telephone network which are
GSM system and CDMA system. The development of communication devices is very simplify the
connection and communication between people in different location which is near of far.

Inside the handphone, there are speaker, microphone,

keyboar, screen and power circuit board with
microprocessor which made in every handphone with
mini computer. When its connected to wireless
network, with this the bundle of technology make
people/user could possibly to do a phone call or share
a data with others phone or even with a computer.

The history of handphone is begin with radio development. The early discovery of handphone
began in 1921 when Detroid Michigan Police Departement tried to do one way car telephone. Then,
on 1928 Detroid Police began to used reguler one way communication radio in every patrol car
with frequency 2 MHz. In the next development, communication radio developed into two way with
frequency modulated (FM).

Handie-Talkie SCR536, which was
communication device in world war II
battlefield. And since that communication
devices (handphone) is growing faster and
faster. Also support by developement era
make this communication devices will
growing even faster.

Technological advances in this era is very great because it

simplified in every aspects of people life. Like the example
above, handphone could save time and cost between people.
