METHODS, STEPS AND PROGRESS

A. Methods

Since we have learn basic knowledge for scanning tunneling

microscope in the classes of quantum mechanics, We will dig deeper
into scanning tunneling microscope from academic papers and
searching for its applications, especially the recent ones, from
scientific journals.

C. Responsibilities

Reading papers and discussion.

Discussion and write our paper.
Revise our paper and prepare poster.
Preparing poster and flash talk.
Revise poster and print it out.

C.-I. Wang reading papers, discussion, making slides, preparing flash

talk
T.-Y. Chen reading papers, discussion, writing paper, making poster
M.-C. Hsieh reading papers, discussion, writing paper, making poster
L.-F. Yen reading papers, discussion, writing paper, making poster
IV. RESULTS AND EVALUATION

Our goal and expectation is to understand what scanning tunneling

microscope is, and learn its current development as well as future
perspectives in this work. The method to evaluate if our goal is
reached is that if we can explain clearly to our classmates what
scanning tunneling microscope is and letting them learn deeper
knowledge and applications of it. Only when we understand our
project totally we can explain clearly to others. Our classmates will
score the presentation and the poster of this project. If we can
receive an average score higher than 60, then we can say that we
have achieved our goal.
