Bulletin Board 1 Write - up

1. Basic rules/starting introduction to measurement how to use a ruler, general units of

measurement, measurement of certain items, etc.
2. Grade Level 3
3. This bulletin board is entitled, For Good Measure, and contains a Q-tip and a pen
complete with their measurements in centimeters and inches, a guide on where to start on
a ruler, and units of measurement that are commonly used.
4. Black posterboard, glitter tape as border, printed out paper with typed captions/pictures,
pen, q tip, Scotch tape
5. Next week, Mrs. Schermerhorns class is beginning their unit on measurement, so this
bulletin board serves as an introduction as sort along with a helpful guide kids always
get confused whether to start from the edge of the ruler or the first mark, for example.
With this board, they can begin to learn ahead of time and become aware of the many
facets of measurement.
