Frank Owens in Concert

As a renowned jazz pianist and musical director of TV

spectaculars such as Showtime at the Apollo, Frank
Owens joins the TRIBECA Cabaret series with an evening of
the legendary music of Erroll Garner. Owens leads his live
band through many of Garners hits, including Misty,
Dreamy, Mambo Garner, Thats My Kick and Passing
Through. In the Saturday evening concert, Owens will be
joined by swing dancers Mickey Davidson and Kevin Gaudin
for the Garner song Jump.
Erroll Garner was one of the most popular jazz musicians of
the 1950s, whos swinging piano and gift for melody kept
him on top of the charts. Misty was a hit for 5 different
artists between 1959 and 1975.
Frank Owens has been active in the music industry for over
four decades as musical arranger, composer, conductor
and pianist.
