My Job
My job as an X Ray Tech
requires me to take X Rays of
patients bones to diagnose
their injurys

The X Ray Machine

projects X Rays
through people's
bodies making that
hard stuff white and
the soft stuff gray
allowing you to see
bones

Work Area
The room i work in has lead in
the walls to keep the X Rays
from travelling. I have the
machine in the middle hooked
up to computers which then
show me the picture i just took.

How does an X Ray work?

The diode on the machine emits an X Ray wave which goes through the body and
goes through to she film underneath. When an X Ray passes through bone it gets
stopped, but tissue does not. Thats why the bones appear white and everything
else is dark.

Radiology Technicians make between $18-$30 dollars an hour
