My Timeline

My LALA, My Life

Freshman Year
In freshman year, I participated in the soccer team for a bit as a defender and I also
participated in LALA Corps., a group that stressed the need for social justice in my
school and community.

Sophomore Year
In my sophomore year, I was op-ed editor for The Voice newspaper as well as a staff
writer. In addition to doing that, I earned a scholar award from my advisor at the
time, Hala Dillsi, for knowing about History.

Junior Year
In my junior year, I joined the Speech and Debate club at my school and I also
attended the Chicano Youth Leadership Conference where I learned to embrace my
heritage.

Senior Year
In my senior year, I joined the Roots and Wings because I like the wilderness and I
applied to many colleges in order for greater education.

My Next Phase
My next phase is going to Cal Poly Pomona, where I am hoping to earn a degree in
something I like and that is useful. I hope to be happy and be a hardworking
individual.
