School-Parent Compact Input

First Grade
A school-parent compact is an agreement that parents, students and teacher develop together. It explains how
parents and teachers will work in partnership to make sure all students get the individual support they need to
reach and exceed grade level standards.
At the start of the 2015-2016 school year the data showed that 15% of first graders at E. W. Oliver Elementary
who scored Benchmark on the MCLASS Math at the beginning of the school year, 29% at the middle of the
year and decreased to 19% Benchmark at the end of the school year. This data is evident that we must continue
focusing on MCLASS math skills throughout the school year. Oliver has a Saturday School Program for all
grade levels and a Remediation Program throughout the school year in which we encourage parents to enroll
their child in.
