As part of my placement I am required to implement activities during my

block placement and have done so with both Group A and Group B in my
first two weeks 9/06/15-19/06/15.

Group A were involved in making hand prints using different colours and
comparing their hand prints with other childrens. This activity came from
several observations of children painting their hands whilst working at the
art easel. It also came from children noticing differences amongst their
group and handprints enabled the children to view another type of
difference.

Group B were involved in using slime, as they have had previous

experience with a variety of textures. Amongst the slime were various art
materials (cotton balls, straws & feathers) and the children were required
to find them. During the activity I had discussions with the children about
how the slime made the materials feel and if this was different to their
original textures.
