OXYGEN

Have you ever thought of the stuff in the air that you breath in? Well if you havent that
stuff is called oxygen or the atomic letter is (O). Oxygen is something that you use everyday to
live because oxygen is the stuff that you breath in. in this paper you will learn about how you can
find oxygen on the periodic table, what oxygen it made up of and how you use it in your life.
Lets learn how to find oxygen on the periodic table. You can start by looking for the
atomic number. Oxygen can be found by the number 8. If you want to find it a different way you
can find the letter symbol. The symbol is O, but not every symbol is the first letter of the atom.
Gold is Ag, so you have to be careful with this way of finding the symbol. The last reason is the
classification. Oxygens classification is Non-metal. It depends what kind of periodic table you
are looking at but on every table the nonmetalsnon-metals are a different color.
Another thing to know about the atom oxygen is what it is made up of. Oxygen is made
up of protons, electrons and neutrons. Oxygen has 8 protons. Also oxygen has 8 electrons and 8
neutrons. Not all elements have the same protons, neutrons, and electrons, so you also have to
be careful about that too.
The last thing that you should know is how it helps you in your life. First of all you
breath it in every day, every hour, and every second of the day. Oxygen also makes the water
that we drinks and fruits and vegetablesveggies. It makes water by just adding hydrogen (H2O)
The last thing is oxygen makes up nearly 21% of the earths atmosphere. Thats a lot of Oxygen
on the earth!

See how oxygen is so important to us the earth, animals, and even us. Oxygen is one of
the things that a human must have. Oxygen is one of the most important things on the earth. Now
whenever you breathe in, think of the oxygen that is going into your body.
