Scope and Delimitations

The researchers objective is to meet the solutions for the problems that Boina
Investments Inc. is facing on their point of sales system. And to make it easier for the company
and employees to do works by developing a computerized program like Point of Sales System to
provide solutions for the current difficulties the company has encountered over the years which
will turn the paper-based system into computerized system that will contribute a big help for the
company.

The coverage of this study is limited for the development of desktop application of point
of sales system that the researchers developed for the Boina Investments Inc. in Papua New
Guinea and for its employees to work efficiently. It is focused on the improvement of Point of
Sales system used by the staff and company as a subject for this study. It does not include mobile
or online application and it does not cover inventory and billing systems. This learning covers
the solution for the problem of its paper-based system where the company is having difficulties
with, which are: time consuming, data loss or weak back-up of records, outdated point of sales
system, tracking or monitoring of customers accounts and tracking products.
