My name is Theo Till, I am writing in reference to the job opening for the volunteer role of administration. I
discovered this job posting through my presentations and speaking skills course at Blyth Academy.
I hope you will consider me for the volunteer administration position for your organization because Plan
International Canada has values that I share. I am very passionate about advocating for quality of life for
children, families and communities in developing countries.
If I were accepted for this position, I would offer hard work and determination. I can communicate effectively
with a range of different people and I have good time management and research skills. I have demonstrated
these abilities in a number of different situations one being the time I spoke in the Lift Her Up campaign on
International Womens Day. I was also interviewed by Huffington Post and CTV about stereotypes in the
workforce. I had to communicate effectively with strangers with ranges of personalities and agendas while still
maintaining my message and why I was there. I have also volunteered at Covenant House where I served
homeless youths food. When a problem occurred I was able to collaborate with my employees and come up
with a solution. In addition, I am currently apart of the Girls Speakers Bureau where I have researched and
prepared presentations about womens rights at schools and have also been a part many projects within the
bureau. I have experience working in administration type roles because I volunteered at Waldorf Academy, an
elementary school, where I helped organize files, answer phone calls and arrange parent and teacher
meetings. I am also very flexible and can work in groups but I am also capable of stepping up and being a
leader. Most importantly I have passion for what Plan International Canada stands for and I want to help
spread and support your message.
Overall, I hope you will consider me for this position because I would be honoured to be a part of such a life
changing and forward thinking organization.
