    Theblastrockedthe18inchpipelineofstateownedGasAuthorityofIndiaLimited(GAIL)
    nearTatipakarefineryoftheOilandNaturalGasCorporation(ONGC),about550kmfrom
    Hyderabad.
    GAILofficialssaidthecauseofthefirewouldbeknownonlyafterathoroughprobe.
    TheysaidRescueandreliefoperationswereunderwayattheblastsite.
    Thehugeflamesleapingoutofthepipelinedamagedhousesandshopsneartheblastsite.The
    villagersranoutoftheirhousesinpanicasthefireaccompaniedbyloudblastsengulfedalarge
    area.
    Localpoliceofficialssaidfiretendersbroughttheblazecontrol.
    ChiefMinisterN.ChandrababuNaiduiscuttingshorthisvisittoDelhiandrushingtothe
    accidentsite.HealongwithseniorofficialswillbelandingatRajahmundryairport,about90
    kmfromtheblastsite.
    NaiduexpressedgriefatthelossoflivesintheGAILpipelineexplosion.Hereviewedthe
    situationwithdistrictcollectorandseniorofficialsfromDelhi,saidanofficialstatement.
    NaidudirectedDeputyChiefMinisterN.ChinnaRajappatorushtotheblastsitetomonitor
    rescueandreliefoperations.
