Left to Tell is a story about a young Rwandan Tutsi

during the Rwandan Genocide. As a Tutsi girl,
Immaculee Ilibagaza broke many boundaries. She
attended a Hutu dominant high school and a
university. Her life was looking up when all of a
sudden it toke a horrible turn. The President of
Rwanda at the was flying over Kigali when his
plane was shot down. The Genocide had then
begun. Immaculee and her family were fearful for
their lives. Immaculee was sent to Pastor
Murinzis house to hope to survive the genocide.
She tells her story in hiding and how she turned to
God for guidance while amidst Life and Death.
In my opinion, I believe that this story was very
well written. To have gone through this horrible
event would have been scaring enough, but to go
through and then eventually talk about it takes a lot
of courage. Immaculee had to witness the murder
of thousands of people. She kept her faith above
all things. When she found out that her family had
all been killed in the Genocide she trusted that God
would provide for her. Immaculee Ilibigaza was
inspired to understand her calling in life, as well
moving on from hardship.

The author of this story is Immaculee Ilibagiza
