Butcher paper
Markers
Communication Bingo boards- bingo markers

Procedure
35 min

1. Begin the group with having each member


introduce another member to the group refereeing
something they learned about them from the last group
2. With butcher paper create a list of positive ways
to communicate (counselor should write to save time).
3. Pass out I can worksheet, have one students
read the scenario out loud, then allow time for each
students to write how they would respond to the
scenario.
4. Have each students read their response out
loud.

7. Pass out Bingo cards and play 1-2 rounds

Plan for evaluation

Process Data: Students within the group. 4-5 females from 6th
grade class
Perception Data: Students will show better relationship skills,
have less tension among peers, work collaboratively with peers
Results Data:Students will show a 5% increase in academic
courses along with teacher reported behavioral disturbances
decreasing by 5%

Follow Up

Students will build on this lesson for other groups. As we


continue to work together students will begin to communicate
this way with each other.
