Lieutenant Governor to visit Grimsby


Toronto, June 1, 2016. Her Honour the Hon. Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario,
will conduct an official visit to Grimsby on Thursday, June 2, 2016. The visit is part of Her Honours
continued program of travel to communities in Ontario.

1:30 p.m. Visit to Town Hall

Following a private courtesy call with Grimsby Mayor Bob Bentley, the Lieutenant Governor will briefly
meet city staff.

1:50 p.m. Visit to the Waterfront Trail
Short drive from Town Hall, Grimsby
The Lieutenant Governor will join the Mayor of Grimsby during a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the newly
developed Waterfront Trail and surrounding parkland.

2:15 p.m. Tour of Nelles Manor
126 Main Street West, Grimsby
The Lieutenant Governor will tour Nelles Manor, a heritage building built in the Georgian style between
1788-1798 and regarded as the oldest inhabited dwelling between Niagara and Kingston. Her Honour
will then address a reception attended by members of civil society in Grimsby.
