On October 21, 2014, at approximately 13:13, two unidentified males entered a Shell gas station
convenience store and stole $374 from the register at gunpoint. The stores security camera
recorded the incident as one man pointed a handgun at store owner Jewel Tamer while the other
man gestured threateningly while demanding that Tame give him the money from the register.
Two guys came in with masks and a gun, Tamer said in her witness statement, and one started
yelling at us to give him the money. Tamer was running the store with the help of Huey
Calhoun, his employee. Tully described the suspects as young, white, one wearing a leather
jacket and one wearing a black shirt, both were wearing jeans, and ski masks. The only customer
in the store was Felicia Ferrell, who heard the robbery taking place but was outside getting gas at
the time.
After obtaining the money from the register, the two suspects ran out of the store. Felicia Ferrell
saw the two suspects, but didnt gather mush more information on their appearance. It had been
raining earlier that afternoon, and Tamer identified one of the suspects footprints in the drying
mud.

Deputy Schmitt arrived on the scene at around 14:06, responding to Ferrells 911 call. After
reviewing the security footage, Deputy Schmitt noticed that the unarmed suspect had at one point

leaned across the counter as he was grabbing money from Huey and Jewel. Fingerprints were
captured from the counter and sent to the forensics lab for analysis. Closer inspection of the
drying shoeprint revealed that one of the suspects was wearing size 12 Nike Roche, which is
consistent with the security footage.
