Dear Ms. Forst

I am a senior at west mecklenburg high school and I will be attending Winston Salem State
University. The highlights of my learning experience in this year were learning chemistry. When
I first heard that I was going to have chemistry I thought I was Going to fail because everybody
said that it was hard, but when I got into the class I loved it so much. By taking this class it
helped me decide that i want to be a doctor and also when I signed up for anatomy as well.
This year in avid I have improved a lot compared to earlier this year. I have grasped the concept
of doing a tutorial the correct way. Being in avid showed me that I am very lazy and that I need
to get out of that. In the future I plan to do better especially when I go to college. I also plan to
not procrastinate on my work or testing for a test. Early in the year when I used to not do my 30
second speech correctly and now I know how to do them. I also kept forgetting to write down my
essential questions on my tutorial,but later on in the year started making sure that I had one every
time I got a tutorial.
In conclusion I feel that I have learned a lot after being in avid. If it wasnt for avid I would be a
lost cause in the high school and also in life. I thank god that I met ms.Forst if it wasnt for her
yelling at me everyday I wouldn't've gotten this far. I know that I have a long way to go on being
a better person, but because of ms.Forst I know what path I have to take in order to get there.
