1 EVALUATION PLAN
The dates and activities indicated below are subject to changes or modifications due
to unforeseen circumstances. Any changes to this plan will be announced in class
or via SLATE.

Dual Pass Provision: Regardless of the total final grade, a student must obtain at
least 50% on the sum of the two tests and 50% on the sum of Labs, quizzes and
assignments in order to pass the course.

3. In case of missed evaluations, the process in place for the School of
Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Technology applies, please review
documentation uploaded to SLATE in this regard.
4. It is the student's responsibility to obtain course material and notes for any
missed classes, regardless of attendance.
5. Students are expected to use course texts and reference texts for
independent study. The content of any evaluation component (labs, quizzes,
tests, etc.) may include references from these sources.
6. Students are responsible for monitoring their own progress in the course.
Grades will be posted on SLATE.
7. Only some acceptable types of calculators are allowed during
tests. Other electronic devices are not permitted (programmable calculators,
any type of cellphone or smartwatch, etc.). No electronic devices will be
accessible during quiz/test time.
8. Work submitted for tests and laboratory reports should be the
individual students. In some cases the instructor may ask students to
work in groups and submit group work. Plagiarized work or improper
reference to work from others are not permitted.
9. Policies regarding appeals and dishonesty are outlined in the student
handbook. It is the student's responsibility to be aware of and comply with
these policies. Some information is also provided on SLATE. Violations to
the Student Code of Conduct and/or Academic Integrity Policy will
result in a grade of zero in any test, quiz and/or lab report.
10.Students are expected to conduct themselves in way that displays full respect
for everybody in the room to ensure that a positive learning environment is
maintained.
11.Students should not use communication devices and/or MISUSE laptops
during class sessions.
12.Communication between the professor and students will be
conducted through SLATE.
13.Final Exam, Test and Quizzes will be closed book and formulas will be
provided when necessary.
14.Assignments need to be both uploaded to SLATE and provided in
hardcopy on the due date. Assignments need to be properly presented in
clean paper with clear explanations/figures and equations. Typed
assignments are encouraged.
