Warm Greetings! I was referred to you through your website. I was informed that
reputed institute is seeking to hire quality individuals for research cum faculty position in
Life science department and I wish to apply for the same.
I am a Joint CSIR UGC JRF NET (Lifescience) and GATE (Lifescience) Ph.D.
qualifier. I am working as Senior Executive - Research in Health Dynamics Solutions Private
Limited, Mumbai at present.
As Ph.D. Research Scholar, I isolated undiscovered endophytic actinomycetes from
Neem leaves and studied their application in pharmacy, agriculture and industry. From the
most potential actinomycetes isolate, antimicrobial compound was isolated and characterized.
My future research plans are aimed at exploring application oriented rare undiscovered
actinomycetes from rare and endangered medicinal plants in order to substantiate the
importance of conserving rare and endangered plants. My ultimate goal is to discover new
antibiotics from unexplored sources like endangered and endemic medicinal plants associated
microbes.
Beyond my research successes (including sixteen publications, nine presentations,
twelve Genbank submissions and one Pubchem submission), I have been most fortunate to
have had ample opportunity to work as Guest lecturer in Botany and Bioinformatics
department, Nirmala College for Women for two years during my PhD tenure. I have had a
total of two years and three months experience as Microbiologist before entering into
research field. I had also been an active team member in Board of Studies Meeting UGC
Innovative Course (Bioinformatics) meeting for year-wise curriculum framework apart from
project proposal writing and organizing national level conferences. That is where, I
developed my communication skill, multi-tasking skill and team management skills. This
strong educational background and work experience has prepared me for making an
immediate contribution to your company since I could effectively cope up with the
expectation in research field. Since I am familiar with all microbiological, basic
biotechnological and bioinformatics techniques as mentioned in my curriculum vitae, I am
well qualified to succeed the Faculty position.
