Howwilltheplaygroundlookdifferent?Theplaygroundhasdesignatedareasforgames,
withaplaygroundmapvisibletoallandboundariesaredisplayedwithcones,chalkand/or
paintedlines.Studentsarefreetomovefromonegametothenextasfrequentlyastheylike.
WhatisdifferentaboutthePlayworksgames?Ateachrecessavarietyofgamesare
availabletochoosefrom.ThereareCoreGames,suchas4Square,Soccer,Basketball,and
theplaystructures,whichareavailableateveryrecessyearround.Whilethesegamesarethe
samegamesstudentsareusetoplayingtheyhavebeenadjustedslightlytoensureeachgame
movesquickly,promotesinclusionandgoodsportsmanship.ThereisalsoaGameoftheWeek,
whichisannouncedeveryMonday.TheGameoftheWeekgamesincludeavarietyoftag
games,kickball,andotherlargegroupgames.Recessrulesarepositive,simpleandclear.
