tomeetwitha14yearoldgirl(undercoverpoliceofficer)viaacraigslistadforpurposeof
sexualgratification.

AccordingtothereportsMr.Doepostedanadoncraigslistinthem4wpersonaladssection
thatindicatedthathewaslookingforafriendswithbenefitsofanyage.Anundercoverofficer
respondedtotheadbasedonthefactthatitwasopentoallages.Overatwomonthperiodof
time,brooke(undercoverpoliceofficer),andJohnDoe,spenttimesendingtextmessagesin
sexualnature.Mr.Doealsosentapictureofhimself(withanerectpenis)tothevictimviatext
message.Adecoypictureofa(adult)femalewasalsosenttoMr.Doe,aswellasadecoypicture
ofafemale'sbreasts.Onnovember3,theyarrangedtomeetupforthepurposeofhavingsex,
andMr.Doewasarrestedandbookedintocustody.Asearchofhisvehiclerevealedthathehad
condomsinhispossessions.

TheundersignedalsospokewithMr.Doeabouttheoffenseinthepresentevaluation.Hestated
thatheplacedtheadoncraigslistlookingforsomeonetohavesexwithofanyage.He
adamantlydeniedthathewaslookingforaminorandthatanyagemeant18yearsandabove.

PersonalAndFamilyHistory:
Mr.Doe

wasborninRiverside,CaliforniaonSeptember25,
1989toMrandMrs.Doe.Hehasnobrothersorsisters,heisanonlychild.Hehasneverbeen
marriedandhasnobiologicalchildren.Therearenoknowncomplicationswithhismother's
pregnancyorthebirthingprocess.Tohisknowledgeshedidnotdrink,smoke,orabusedrugs
duringthepregnancy.Hewasunawareofanydevelopmentdelays.

Mr.Doewasraisedbybothofhisparents.Johnwasraisedasacatholicandwenttoacatholic
privateschool.Hisfatherwasinthemilitaryfor23yearsandhismotherworkedathisschoolas
thedirectorofoffices.Mr.Doedeniesanyhistoryofphysical,sexual,oremotionalabuse,
althoughJohnstatesthathehadaroughrelationshipwithdadbecausewhenhewasyoungerdad
wouldbeveryhardonhimandputalotofpressureonhimtodothingsperfectly.Momwould
mellowdadoutwhenhewouldscream.JohnDoesayshewasclosertohisdad,couldtalkto

himaboutsports,school,sensitivetopics,etc.Hefeltthathecouldnttalktomombecauseshe
workedathisschool.Mr.DoewasputintherapyforthreeyearsbecausehewasGuardedand
ClosedOff.Johnwenttocommunitycollegeandislivingwithparentsatthemoment.Hesays
hisrelationshipwithhisparentshavestrengthenedovertheyears.Hisfathergotoutofthe
militaryandmellowedout,momgotdepressionandanxietyandisonmedication.

Educational/OccupationalHistory:
Mr.Doegraduatedfromhighschoolontime.Mr.Doe
claimedhewasheldbackinfirstgradeduetotheagegrouping.HealsosayshehadADHD
whenhewasyoungerbutitwentaway.Heisattendingcommunitycollegeandplanstotransfer
toaCSUinayearwherehewillstudybusiness.

Regardinghisworkhistory,JohnDoegothisfirstofficialjobatbevmoandwasthereforabouta
year,hethengotajobatnavyfederalandhasworkedtherefortwoyears.

SocialHistory:
Mr.Doeadmitstostrugglingonmakingrelationshipswithpeople,romanticand
friendship.Hestatesthatheisfearfulofbeingrejectedbythepeoplehemeetsandheis
constantlyanxiousofapproachingothers.Healsohastroubleswithcontinuingandgrowing
friendships.Hestatedhehasagroupoffriendsnowandthatithastakenhimyearstogettothis
pointoftheirfriendship.Johndoesntwanttohurtothersorgethurtbythefriendshe
makes,heavoidsbeingvulnerablewiththemandlettingthemseehisfullpersonality.Intermsof
hishobbiesMr.Doelikestoplaysoccerandworkonprojectswithhisfriends.

PsychosexualHistory:
Mr.Doeconsidershimselfheterosexual,andhedeniedhaveanyinterest
inpeopleofthesamesex.Hefirstbegantonoticegirlsinmiddleschool.Johndidnotrecieve
seuxaleducationclassesbecausehewenttoacatholicprivateschool.Hestatestheonlything
theysaidaboutsexistonotdoituntilmarriage.Sexwasminimallydiscussedinthehomebut
whenitwas,momanddowouldsaytouseprotection.Themajorityofwhathelearnedaboutsex
wasfromhisfriendsandpeers.Hebeganmasturbatingwhenhewasapproximatelytwelveyears
old,andheestimatedthatheengagedinthisbehaviorfourtofivetimesperweek.Whenasked
aboutsexualstimulationduringmasturbationhesaidhewouldjustthinkaboutsomeone
attractive.Heindicatedtheheutilizedpornographicwebsitesandhisdadsplayboymagazines.
Hedeniedanyhistoryofcompulsivemasturbatorybehavior.Hepresentlymasturbatesthree
timesperweek.

Hefirstviewedpornographyattheageoftwelveviamagazinesbelongingtohisfather.He
statedthathehasviewedpornthroughtheinternet.Hedeniedowninganypornagraphicvideoor
DVDs.Hedeniedregularlyviewingpornographystatingthatheviewsitaboutthreetimesper
week.Hedeniedsubscribingto,downloading,purchasing,organizing,orcollecting
pornography.Hefurtherdeniedneedingpornographytobecomearousedorachieveorgasm.He

statedhehasneverviewedpornographydepictingprepubescentchildreninvolvedinsexual
activity.

Withregardtootheronlineactivities,headmittedtosocialnetworkingviafacebook,and
snapchatbutstatesherarelyusessnapchat.Hedeniedreceivingorsendingsextmessages
throughthisapp.Hedeniedparticipatinginanyonlinechatrooms.Hehasparticipatedinsexting
viaregulartextmessage.Headamantlydeniedtextingorsending/receivingpicturesfromfemale
minors.Hestatedthatthiswasthefirsttimehehadeverpostedanadforsexualactivity.

Withregardtopastandpresentsexualbehavior,hehashadonelongtermrelationshipwitha
femalethatwentonfortwoyearsandthreeothershorttermrelationships.Hehasneverlived
withagirlfriend.Hefirsthadsexualintercourseattheageofsixteenandheestimatedthathehas
hadfoursexualpartnersinhislifetime.Hedeniedanydeviantsexualfantasies(e.g.,rape,
sadomasochism,etc.)orbehaviorssuchassexualfetishes,voyeurism,transvestism,actsof
prostitution,oranyotherunusualsexualacts.(e.g.,bestiality,anime,etc.).Hedeniedhavingany
deviantsexualfantasiesoractsinvolvingrapeorforcingorcoercingsomeoneintosexual
activity,andhehasneverengagedinsexformoneyoritems.Hefurtherdeniedhavingany
sexualfantasiesorsexualinterestinvolvingpreorpostpubescentboysorgirls(otherthanhis
involvementinhisoffense).

DrugAndAlcoholHistory:
Mr.Doestatedthathefirstusedalcoholwithhisparents.Hedenied
thathehaseverabusedalcoholandhedeniedhavinganyproblemscontrollinghisdrinking.He
hasneverhadanylegalproblemspertainingtohisuseofalcohol.Hestatedthathepresently
drinksafewtimesamonthsociallywithhisparents.

Regardingdruguse,theonlydrughehasdonewasMDMA,commonlyknownasecstasy.He
claimsheonlyuseditonceandhehasneverabusedortakenanyotherdrug.Hehasnothistory
ofdrugabuse.Thereisnoknownfamilyhistoryofdrugabuse.

LegalHistory:
Asstatedbefore,Mr.DoechargedwithaninstantoffenseinDecember2015,
afteritwasallegedthathearrangedtomeetwithafourteenyearoldgirl(undercoverpolice
officer)viaacraigslistadforthepurposeofsexualgratification.Overatwomonthperiodof
time,theyexchangedemailsandtextmessagesthatwereinsexualnature.Also,duringthattime
periodhesentapictureofhimself(withanerectpenis)tothevictimviaemail.Adecoypicture
ofa(adult)femalewasalsosenttoMr.Doeaswellaspicturesoffemalebreasts.Onthey
arrangedtomeetwiththepurposeofsex,andMr.Doewasarrestedandbookedintocustody.He
ispresentlyawaitingahearingregardingthecharges.Hehasnoothercriminalorlegalhistory.

PsychiatricHistory:
Mr.Doedeniedanyhistoryofpsychiatrichospitalizationordiagnoses.He
isnottakinganypsychiatricmedication.Hedeniedanyhistoryoddepression,anxiety,psychosis
ormania.Hefurtherdeniedanyhistory

SexualInterestDomain:
ThisdomainreferstothefocusandintensityofMr.Doessexual
interests.Hedoesnotshowasexualpreferenceforchildren,nordoeshedemonstrateevidence
ofsexualsadism.Hedoesnotreporthavingrapefantasies,nordoeshedemonstratesignificant
evidenceofsexualpreoccupationoutsideofhiscriminalsexualbehavior.
