AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 14 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO EDUCATOR EVALUATIONS. {SE ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE: Section 1. Amend § 1270, Title 14 of the Delaware Code by making deletions as shown by strike: through and insertions shown by underline a5 follows: {@) An educator holding an initia license pursuant to 4 1210 ofthis title must receive atieass |r 4.a Delaware Performance Appraisal System il (DPAS il) evaluation annually, An educator holding a ‘years. For purposes of this subchapter only, the term “educator” shall ako include specialists who | practice in Delaware public schools, whether or not they are licensed and certified by the Department. ‘The evaluation must be consistent with the Delaware Professional Teaching Standards and the Delaware Administrators’ Standards, and must otheraise be in accordance with the criteria and requirements of this section. {b) The Department, with the consent of the State Baard of Education, shall promulgate rules “and regulations to develop-and implement a nev +ystem-oeducator evaiuaiaan to be known 3s administer the Delaware Performance Appratsal System Il (OPAS i).
