Chapter 2

Summary
In chapter 2, Scout talks about her first day of school in first grade.
When she went into class she meets Miss Caroline, the new teacher in
the school. Scout doesnt like Miss Caroline because the teacher thinks
Scouts father, Atticus, sometimes teaches Scout how to read and write.
Miss Caroline tries to teach the students differently. Before lunch, Miss
Caroline tries to give Walter money for his lunch. But Walter keeped
refusing the money. Scout tries to tell Miss Caroline that Walter wouldnt
be able to pay her back. So Miss Caroline hits Scouts hand with a ruler
because Miss Caroline thinks that Scout was being disrespectful to her.

Significant event

Scout starts school and her teacher is Ms. Caroline. Ms. Caroline is upset
at calpurnia for teaching scout how to read at an early age. Ms.
Caroline is upset because she believes that's it's not good to learn at an
early age and she wants to teach the kids a different way.
