Activities:
This will be the first week of
M-STEP testing so students
will get the chance to first
understand the concept of
the I Am Poem and create
the poem they want from
what they learned and took
away from the story.
Students will get time in
class each day to work on
their poem which will be
due Friday and they will get
the chance to share out
their poem to the class.
In-between testing dates
students will be watching
the movie The Devils
Arithmetic and getting the
chance to compare the
movie to the novel they
read in class over the last
month. This gives them the
chance to visualize what
was read as well as not
getting too much work over
our first week of testing.
On Friday, May 12th
students will partake in a
Holocaust Potluck. Each
student will bring 1 can of
food they found from home
and I will place it all in one
big crockpot. Students will
