PRESENTAZIONI

INTRODUCTIONS
arrivano sempre nuovi studenti e tutti SPECIALI.
Teaching L2 to secretive and shy teenagers, sometimes it's a real challenge.
Following a predisposed pattern (scheme), could appear unnatural, but after thirty
seconds everything turn surprisingly enjoyable and natural, they only need a smile
and human health........anyway, we need a fitted sketch to make introductions as here
we have new arrivals all the time, and new students are always SPECIAL.
1. PRESENTATION OF A PICTURE OR A SHORT MOVIE WITH A GROUP OF
FOREIGN STUDENTS.

2. WARM-UP:
How many people are in the picture? (boys-girls)
Who are they?
Where are they?
Where do you think they are from? (look their faces)
3. LISTENING:
I explain they're listening a short conversation 3 times:
the first time I want them to fill in the scheme with the name and the nationality of each person,
moreover they must match a photo to each person.

The second time they must complete the scheme with the age, the favourite school subjects, the
hobbies.
The third time they must complete the written dialogue.
4. TEAM WORK:
They compare their own answers with those of their schoolmate, before the teacher's check.
5. WORK IN PAIR:
They prepare a dialogue to introduce themselves and collaborate to improve spelling and
pronunciation of the dialogue.
6. THEY INTRODUCE THEMSELVES.

7. WORK IN GROUP:
Following someone of their affinity, we make 2-3 groups. The teacher asks them to write the name
of the countries showed on a geographic map (I begin the game with the most known contries).
Then they must add the name of all the countries they know starting with the letter "C".
The game can continue with other letters until the students enjoy it. At the end the teacher ask them
to write the nationalities.
8. THE WINNER IS.......
The students check their answers on the blackboard and the group that worked better win the
competition.
You can try to apply this scheme to many other topics in order to develop your students'
competencies.
CONCLUSIONS: I'M SURE THAT IF I HAVE FUN IN TEACHING IS BECAUSE MY PUPILS
HAVE FUN IN LEARNING.
So, if you had fun doing something special with your English lessons, please let me know!!!!!
Meet you for my next experience.
