S backed fighters on Thursday and they closed all major roads that led to the northern
Syrian town of Manbij. Manbij is a route on Isis supply line between Turkish border and the
extremist groups de facto capital. The U.S central command was the operation to free Manbij as
a part of the moderate Syrian opposition. The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human
Rights said SDF fighters are about 800 yards from the last main road.
