Peanut Butter Cereal Bars

Chewy peanut butter bars topped with crunchy cornflakes and sweet raisins- no need to bake!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup honey
1 1/2 cup peanut butter
4 cups NESTLE Cornflakes
3/4 cup raisins
HERE'S HOW:
1. In a large saucepan, stir together brown sugar and honey. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly until sugar is
dissolved. Remove from heat.
2. Stir in peanut butter until smooth; fold in NESTLE Cornflakes and raisins. Spread and pack mixture in a
greased 9" square pan. Cool.
3. Cut into bars. Wrap each in plastic wrap, if desired.

Cereal Muffins

Makes about 12 muffins


For the wet mixture
2 cups cereal
(we used Nestl Fitnesse Honey &
Almonds Whole Wheat Cereal)
1 cup milk
1 egg
1/4 cup canola oil
melted butter
For the dry mixture
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup dried mango, chopped

1 Preheat oven to 400F.


2 In a large bowl, combine cereal and milk; let stand until soft. In another bowl, egg, canola oil, and melted
butter until well-combined. Add to cereal mixture.
3 Sift twice all-purpose flour with baking powder and salt.
4 Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and dried mango; add dry mixtures to wet mixture. Mix until just combined. Fill
greased muffin cups until 3/4-full; tap to release bubbles. Bake for 25 minutes.

Special Cereal Bars I


Ingredients

1 cup white sugar

1 cup light corn syrup

11/2 cups peanut butter

7 cups wheat cereal (high protein crisp rice)

1 cup peanut butter chips

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate (chips)

Directions
1. Grease a 9 x 13 inch pan.
2. In a large sauce pan, combine sugar and light corn syrup. Cook over medium heat until boiling. Stir in
peanut butter until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the cereal. Pat the cereal mixture into the
greased pan.
3. Melt peanut butter and chocolate chips over a double boiler or in the microwave. Spread the melted
mixture over the cereal bars and refrigerate to set.
