Project Background:
The mission of the Egypt Network for Integrated Development (ENID) initiative is to develop and design
action-oriented strategies to address vital economic development challenges, notably poverty reduction
and job creation. Its aim is to create an integrated process for the design of best practice projects and
programs, and to disseminate these solutions to development practitioners and policy-makers.
Collectively, these projects and programs emphasize inclusive socio-economic development, for the
greater part of Egyptians to contribute to and benefit from growth and prosperity.
ENID is headquartered in Cairo, with a local ENID office in the Qena governorate, with a total staff of
about 30 persons.
ENID is seeking a Marketing and Sales Officer that reports to the Managing Director and would be
responsible to come up with an effective marketing and sales plan and execute it in the framework of
the following job description:
Develop, and implement the marketing strategy and identify buyers, based on knowledge of
production capacity and market characteristics for each ENID product group. Formulate, direct
and coordinate all marketing activities and policies, including promotional activities, and the sale
of products to business and customers at shops as well as in exhibitions and fairs.
Achieve the annual sales target specified by the Managing Director for each of ENID products
and overall portfolio of products. This includes sales Business to Business and Business to
Customer.
Responsible for achieving the on-line sales plan. Supervise and contribute to updating the newly
created E-shop system. This includes liaising with the E-shop webmaster, participating in the
accurate description (in English) of products displayed for sale, the orders received from
customers, the supervision of conveying the products successfully to customers and the analysis
Locate exhibitions suitable for ENID products and liaise with internal and external exhibitions
organisers to book suitable space needed, negotiate best prices, organise floor plan & layout
and supervise payment for participation.
Supervise the export operation of ordered products. This includes monitoring documentation,
products lists, pricing & shipment.
Liaise with product development personnel and designers on product specifications and pricing
strategies, balancing firm objectives and consumer satisfaction.
Responsible for building customer relationship management module and develop the customer
database. Keep good relations with exhibition organisers and production teams and be flexible
when on occasions asked to perform tasks outside of the overall remit e.g. attending an
exhibition during a weekend.
Liaise with Quality Control staff to guarantee the best quality for the products offered for sale.
Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products,
analysing business developments and monitoring market trends. Also, compile lists describing
product or service offerings and negotiate contracts with wholesalers and retailers to guarantee
efficient product distribution.
Confer with legal staff to resolve problems such as copyright infringement and royalty sharing
with outside producers and distributors.
