    LAB 1: DETERMINATION OF MOISTURE CONTENT

    PROCEDURE

    2015430118

    1) Assemble the shear box. Make sure the shear box is clean and dry. Weight
    the shear box
    2) Make sure the soil specimen is in optimum condition. Carefully transfer
    the specimen in the shear box. Transfer 1/3 layer of soil into the shear
    box, compact the soils using a hammer. Make sure the layer of soil is in
    uniform line(sekata). Repeat this step until the shear box is completely
    filled with soil specimen.
    3) Place the loading plate on top of the shear box, weight the shear box
    filled with specimen
