Metro welcomes and values your interest and support for our efforts to enhance the mobility of 10 million residents who live, work, and play in our county. | appreciate your continued interest in the I-710 South Corridor Project, Downtown Long Beach Blue Line Fare Evasion Pilot Program, and the Green Line Extension to Long Beach as itrelates to the Potential Ballot Measure. Metro staff is diligently reviewing and analyzing all public comments received on the Potential Ballot Measure. Later this month, I will provide the Board of Directors with an updated recommendation, including a full report on the public input that has been received. Asit relates to the three specific projects identified above, please see below for the Metro staff response to address your recent request. 710 South Corridor Project There are 10 Hot Spot elements for this Project. Staff proposes to clarify that Shoemaker Bridge (currently in the environmental stage) is a priority project for this funding, This will be reflected in the Project Description for the Project. © Staff proposes to remove all assumptions of container fees and will replace with “alternative revenue sources”. © Staff proposes that the Blue Line Wardlow Grade Separation is eligible for funding from the State of Good Repair (2%) element of the Potential Ballot Measure. Downtown Fare Evasion Pilot P. um © Staff proposes that this program is eligible for funding from the Transit Operations (20%) element of the Potential Ballot Measure. Green Line Extension to Long Beach ‘© Staff proposes to add a footnote to the Expenditure Plan for the Green Line Extension to Torrance. The footnote states that “Studies will be completed to evaluate a future Green Line connection to the Blue Line (City of Long Beach) No capital funds from the Green Line to Torrance Project will be used for the studies” Metro is proud of the positive working relationship we have had and continue to have with the City of Long Beach.
