Expert in auditing and inspecting Contractors Sites, Camps and HSE documents and produce
reports.
Knowledge in Technical Evaluation related to HSE and ability to score the contractors against
check list requirements,
Ensures that the technical and engineering aspect related to Health, safety, loss prevention
and environment are undertaken effectively in conformance with related company standards
and in full coordination with corresponding HSE functions within the Company. Includes /
directs subordinates in preparing and updating related procedures manuals and monitoring
programs /guidelines. Directs and participates in the preparation of specific procedures for
critical operational/monitoring tasks.
Supports and provides proper guidance to the drilling staff/management in the preparation,
development and implementation of the Co-corporate Health, Safety & Environment
Management System (HSEMS) and other programs/procedures and improving environment
related issues. Supports and provides proper guidance to the drilling members and leads the
preparation, development and implementation of the divisional HSE plan, own team HSE
plan and provide professional consultations for the development, implementation and
monitoring of HSE plans of other departments in the assigned division in line with Corporate
HSE Annual Plan and company codes of practice.
Plans, directs, and controls the development of the divisional specific HSE programs,
procedures and training plans inline with corporate guidelines to enhance leadership at rig
site and ensure availability of skilled and competent staff during emergencies.
Directs and leads the identification, assessment of operations impact on environment (land,
air and water) and develop/implement relevant plans to either eliminate or mitigate the
environmental impact
Executes special studies requested by management or self generated, leads and conducts
studies aimed at improvement of HSE practices and HSE performance enhancements in
coordination with concerned parties.
Plans, directs and conducts and sometimes leads regular health safety environment and
housekeeping inspections, HSE tours and audits either individually or with team at the
divisions operation rigs, facilities, workshops, plants, and services to ensure conformity with
regulations and organizational polices.
Fully Participates in the reviews of all activities related to new rigs and rig modifications /
upgrades with particular emphasis on using the proper HSE review techniques such as
HAZOPs and HAZIDs, when considering the introduction of new equipment, new processes
or changes in existing plants/processes. Assesses associated Health, Safety, Environment and
fire protection requirements and advises divisional management of their needs, together with
recommendations, benefits, legislation and cost, as applicable.
Supports division management in the implementation of Facility Response Plan and Safety
Management system.
