Upcoming Events
Next Meeting Thursday, November 5th 4:30 p.m.
Griggs Elementary School Cyberlab
Happy Fall Everyone! Our next meeting will be a joint get-together
with the ladies of Gamma Nu! They are such a fun bunch and I
cant wait to spend some time with them. Our guest, for the
meeting, will be from the Sherriffs Department Yellow Dot program.
Members are asked to bring a light snack to share. Dont forget your
dollar bills for the door prize. All proceeds benefit our State project,
the American Heart Association.

Our New Teacher Open House was a HUGE success! Thank you to
everyone who donated classroom supplies. Our sweet new teachers
left with big smiles on their faces and many, many, Thank yous!

Purposes of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society


International
As members of The Society, we have agreed to be loyal to and to
actively support the Seven Purposes upon which Dr. Annie Webb Blanton
founded the organization in 1929.
The purposes of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International shall be:

1. To unite women educators of the world in a genuine spiritual fellowship;

2. To honor women who have given or who evidence a potential for


distinctive service in any field of education;

3. To advance the professional interest and position of women in

endeavors in the interest of education and of women educators;

educators;
6. To stimulate the personal professional growth of members and to
encourage their participation in appropriate programs of action; and,
7. To inform members of current economic, social, political, and
educational issues so that they may participate effectively in a world
society.
