In Summary:
Looking at our longitudinal data, it is evident that our ESOL students
and our low SES students are our highest growing subgroups at our
school.
After careful examination of these two subgroups, many of our ESOL
students are also our low SES students.
The number of these students meeting or exceeding standards on the
CRCT (reading) is much higher than the number who are not
meeting proficiency.
Discussion:
Based on recent data trends, what can we do to support our ESOL
students growth performance?
What professional learning opportunities can we offer to support your
efforts in targeting our ESOL population?
What type of data can we begin collecting and discussing in our Data
Team meetings to better analyze our student learning problems
(instead of waiting until statewide testing)?
