IaminaresourceroomatAlfredElementarySchool.Therearetwostudentswhospendthe
wholeday,andonethatspendsmostofthedayintheroomassistedbytheirdesignatededtechsandthe
specialeducationteacher.Theroomisdividedintoworkstationsandothercenterssuchasalibrary,
computers,andabreakarea,sothatchildrencanreceiveindividualizedattention.Thereisalsoacircle
areanotunlikeatypicalgradeschoolclassroomwheremorningmeetingandothergroupactivitiesare
held.Therearesomeotherstudentsinpulloutprogramsandsomewhoarefullymainstreamedwith
IEPs.Allstudentsreceivingservicesinthisroomareontheautismspectrum.Sofar,thestudentsthatI
haveobservedhavebeenthestudentswhospendallormostofthedayintheresourceroom.
